About the Authors

We are the Clelands: A young family currently serving with Village Missions. Chris ('13) and Ronae ('12) are both graduates of Grace College (Winona Lake, IN). We met on a missions trip to Mexico during our junior high years (2004) and became best friends right away; we were married to one another on July 25, 2009. We have three children: Josiah (4), Charis (2), and Sovereign (<1).

Chris graduated from Grace College with a degree in Biblical Studies and a Greek minor. His hobbies include reading and collecting books, working on his Spanish and Biblical Greek, running, friendly competition (sports, Scrabble, Monopoly, Euchre, etc), home improvement projects, and tinkering with the guitar, bass guitar, and trumpet. He loves Chinese food, Mexican tacos, chocolate, and his wife. Chris is a Thinker; according to StrengthsQuest, his top five strengths are Ideation, Input, Deliberative, Connectedness, and Learner. According to the MBTI, he is an INTP (Introversion, Intuition, Thinking, Perceiver).
Ronae studied Intercultural Studies at Grace and minored in Spanish. She enjoys reading, crafting, scrapbooking, anything horse-related, practicing Spanish, learning about different cultures, and all things Pinterest: simple (but yummy!) recipes, parenting tricks, DIY projects, and money-saving tips. She can’t get enough of Argentine empanadas, cuddling with the kids, showing love to others, and knowing she is loved by others. She is a Loyalist and an ISFJ (Introversion, Sensing, Feeling, Judger) on the MBTI. According to StrengthsQuest, her top five strengths are Connectedness, Input, Intellection, Harmony, and Empathy.

Both of us are passionate about missions: Sharing Christ with those who do not know Him and building up the body of Christ. We've been serving with Village Missions since July 2014.
