Exciting News: Internship Location & Support Update

This past week has been a whirlwind for us, and we're glad to finally be able to post an update with some exciting news! :)


Last Sunday, Chris and I had the opportunity to share about Village Missions with a Sunday School class at Grace Point Church of the Nazarene (the church in which both of us grew up). We enjoyed the time it gave us to reconnect a little bit with friends and people who were influential in our teen years, as well as the chance to share with them regarding this call the Lord has placed on our hearts.


We also found out this last week the location of our year-long internship. We were incredibly thankful to hear that we will not have to go too far for this time of training; we will be serving at Liberty Chapel in Crawfordsville, IN, about 3 hours Southwest of where most of our family lives in Fort Wayne. For our families' sake especially, we had been hoping for a location that was not too far away, although we were committed to trusting the Lord with wherever He would see us placed. It was a pleasant surprise to us, then, to learn that we would be placed in the nearest possible VM church! :)


We have been in contact with VM and have made the decision to wait until after Baby Girl is born to make the move to begin our internship. The baby is due May 10, and we are hoping to be able to move sometime mid-June or so (depending, of course, upon having raised enough in support by that time).


Our support goal is to have raised $1400 in monthly pledges in order to provide for our family's
needs while being able to dedicate ourselves to learning from our mentors and serving in full-time ministry. So far, Village Missions has received about $270 in monthly pledges. We are so appreciative to all who have decided to help support this ministry - not only financially, but also (and especially) in prayer.
